MISSION
Ryan’s Case for Smiles is one of the few volunteer organizations solely dedicated to helping kids feel better to heal better. We work to improve the quality of life of children and their families as they undergo medical treatment. Our volunteers deliver more than 200,000 bright, cheerful pillowcases each year to children and their families in over 360 hospitals throughout our 120 chapters nationwide.
VOLUNTEERS
Anyone who likes to sew fun, easy items for kids would fit this volunteer opportunity well. Volunteers will select their own fabrics and sew the pillowcases and then drop them off at Dublin Sewing Center, 7367 Village Parkway, Dublin, Ca, or contact the SF/East Bay Chapter coordinator, Eileen, to arrange a pickup of finished pillowcases.
Great family project for teens and families.
This activity would involve use of scissors and straight pins and operation of a sewing machine.
